Toivo's history<\/b> stretches back to the 19th century. Its prototype, the frigate Toivo, was built by an Oulu-based trade advisor J.W. Snellman in 1869-1871. Under the ownership of Snellman's trading house, Toivo made several long sea voyages to different corners of the world. In 1888, the ship was sold to a Norwegian shipping company, and it later sank on a sea voyage in the 1890s. \n\nRestaurant Ship Toivo's life began in 1908, initially transporting sand and grain. In 2001, the ship was sold to Oulu, where it was converted to a theater and a restaurant ship, modeled after the frigate Toivo. Restaurant Ship Toivo got to know fresh water for the first time in November 2007, when it sailed along the Saimaa Canal to the port of Mikkeli.
In the fall of 2021 Restaurant Ship Toivo moved to the port of Mualiman Napa in Kuopio.<\/p>\n

Ravintolalaiva Toivo\u00a0 HistoriaToivon historia ulottuu 1800-luvulle. Sen esikuvan, fregatti Toivon rakennutti oululainen kauppaneuvos J.W. Snelman vuosina 1869-1871.
